Milan Dukic came to the United States for musical study from Serbia (then Yugoslavia). He joined psalterbook as a permanent member in 2003. He began his U.S. training at the Interlochen Arts Academy, and received his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, where he was also a graduate teaching assistant. He has performed all over the world with such orchestras as the Pacific Music Festival Orchestra and the Cincinnati 18th-century Ensemble. So how he became such an amazing bluegrass fiddler we'll never know, but anyone that has been wowed by his virtuoso rendition of My Soul Rejoices in the Lord (track 1 on the CD age to age ) can only assume he comes from the southern part of Serbia! Milan is also highly sought-after as a pedagogue; he teaches at Northern Kentucky University and maintains a large private studio in Cincinnati.
