       Steve came to Cincinnati after receiving his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Piano Performance from The Florida State University in Tallahassee Florida, where he was a student of James Streem.  Pursuing his Doctorate in Piano at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, he studies with Elizabeth and Eugene Pridonoff, and was also a graduate teaching assistant. He is the winner of many competitions and the recipient of numerous awards, including the Burgin Scholarship.  He was the winner of the concerto competitions at both FSU and CCM, and was one of six national finalists in the MTNA Wurlitzer Collegiate Artist Competition.  He has performed in solo and chamber music recitals around the world, including performances with the principals of the Vienna Philharmonic and Bavarian Radio Orchestra (now the Munich Philharmonic as a performer at the Pacific Music Festival in Japan. 
        Steve plays keyboards and is the songwriter for psalterbook.  Steve's songwriting ability has recently garnered international recognition: 2 of his songs---Saved By Grace and Surely---were recently selected as Top Twenty Finalists in the 2005-2006 UNISONG International Songwriting Competition (Christian/Gospel Category), and Saved By Grace was a 2007 KCCM Song Of The Year Finalist.  His song You Carry My Heart was chosen as a Top-Twenty Finalist in the 2006-2007 UNISONG International Songwriting Competition (Holiday/Seasonal Category). Also Steve's songs Lantern (co-written with Jeff Garrett) and Now The Waiting Is Over (cowritten with Diane Marshall) were awarded UNISONG Top Thirty Honorable Mentions. He is currently on faculty at Wright State University.
